Mission statement

Vision

Operating in Malta SECC St. Helen of Anjou becomes an important cultural centre of the local Serbian community, but also a well-known address for all educational and cultural events on the Island. Through its projects with secular and spiritual content, it nurtures national values ​​and builds a cultural bridge between the local and Serbian populations, thereby contributing to the cultural diversity of Maltese society.

Mission

SECC St. Helen of Anjou is a volunteer association that, through its active participation in Malta, promotes, connects and nurtures:

1. Educational and cultural content from the Serbian cultural heritage and thus contributes to the preservation of national identity and reduces the possibility of any kind of extremism in the Serbian community;

2. Multicultural content acting locally to strengthen cultural diversity as a social asset based on the principles of equality, rule of law, religious pluralism and cooperation.

Our Goals

Strengthening the national identity of the Serbian population in Malta through nurturing of cultural wealth, tradition, heritage and customs and education;
Strengthening awareness of national and cultural unity, especially among Serbian children;
Affirmation of Serbian artists from the homeland and diaspora;
Strengthening library funds in the Serbian language;
Promotion of theatrical, artistic and musical creativity;
Promotion of museum and archival material of Serbian cultural heritage;
Promotion in Serbia of the achievements of emigrants from Malta in science, culture and education;
Advocacy of dialogue and multi-confessional cooperation as a basis for religious pluralism and multiculturalism;
Emphasizing the participation and visibility of women in community activities;
Permanent education and training of volunteers in order to raise the capacities of associations based on sustainability;
Promotion of social responsibility and high ethical standards in all activities of our organization.
