Jelena Jablanov Maksimovic, President

   Jelena Jablanov Maksimović, president and idea creator of Serbian educational and cultural centre, was born in eastern Serbia, in town Bor. Before she moved to Malta, she lived in several cities in Serbia (from Bačka to Pomoravlje) and in Germany. She finished primary and secondary school in Paraćin, bachelor  and master studies - German language and literature - at the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade. She continued her professional training at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Erfurt (Germany), where she completed her master's studies in the field of Religiology, Department of Orthodox Christianity, and thus acquired the title of master religiologist. She worked from 2001 to 2017, for the German Konrad Adenauer Foundation, first as a coordinator of various events with various topics, and since 2007, her responsibilities have become areas of interreligious and interethnic dialogue. In addition to organizing seminars, international conferences, study trips, she has also gained experience as an editor of a large number of proceedings such as: Christianity and democracy - between antagonism and possibility, the Church in a pluralistic society, Religiosity in Serbia in 2010, Religion in the public, social and political sector, Interethnic relations in the function of reconciliation and many others. As a representative of the Foundation, she was part of the team that founded and initiated interdisciplinary studies "Religion in Society, Culture and European Integration" at the University of Belgrade. Since 2017, he has been living in Malta with her family, teaching private lessons and German language courses, writing short stories, fairy tales and poetry. She is married and mother of twin girls, Vasilisa and Kira.

Olivera Vasic-Brcerevic, Secretary

   Olivera Vasić-Brčerević, Secretary General of SECC St. Helen of Anjou, married, mother of three children. Born in Kladovo, Eastern Serbia, she spent her early childhood in Gradiška, Bosnia. She finished primary school in Kladovo, secondary technical education in Jagodina. During hеr schooling, she was an active member of the Radio Amateur Association. From 1985-2009 she worked as the Commercial Director of the private company Mibe-koop in Jagodina. One of the founders of the NGO To Jagodina with love, and the president of the local council of the European Movement in Serbia. During the period of intensive activity in the non-governmental sector, she edited a page dedicated to NGOs, for the local newspaper, Novi put from Jagodina.
After moving to Belgrade 2009, she graduated Foreign trade at the Faculty of Economics and worked as a Account Payable manager at the Eurosalon, and then at the Mercator. In the same period, she became a member of the Association of Business Women of Serbia and a participant in a course that was part of the project Reduction of unemployment of young women in underdeveloped municipalities. Winner of a grant from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for a project in the field of beekeeping.
In Malta since 2017, currently as self-employed. Diplomas obtained in Malta: Maltese Language and Culture, and Governmental and Institutional Travel and Tourism.

Petar Maksimovic, Treasurer

     Petar Maksimović, treasurer (and chief archivist), born in Belgrade in 1976, grew up on two rivers and continued to develop his love for the water in the Mediterraneans. Long lasting marine electronics carrer transferred from rivers to the sea in late 2014, and since then really love his job in Malta.
In his free time take active role in the Church Board of the Parish of St. Ap. Paul and St. Nicolas, and helps with the work of SECC St. Helen of Anjou. Ocassionaly finds time to do freediving.
While trying to get serious as father of six-year-olds Vasilisa and Kira, twins always rewind him to his favourite quote of Peter Pan "Don't grow up, it's a trap!"

Marina Burke, Member of the Managing Board

Born in Russia in October 1978, residing in Malta since 1998 Graduated in Management of Tourism and Travel in Russia and later obtained ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business. Currently working in the administration and financial sector. Dedicated mother of two children aged 12 and 18. Active member of Serbian Orthodox Christian Community. Conductor and singer in the church choir.
